In less than 5 years, incidents in the CDMX subway have caused the death of 29 people, due to structural failures, poor communication with the control center and other unfortunate events that have ended in tragedy. Given these events, the capital government has been in charge of covering the victims' expenses, investigating from the Prosecutor's Office and even carrying out audits with the support of foreign companies.
However, the problems of the Metro Collective Middle East Mobile Number List Transportation System (STC Metro) are visible to everyone, since, first of all, there is a lack of budget, since in 2023 it will only have 19.3 million pesos. That is to say, compared to the previous year, it will not increase even 1% . This is despite the fact that 4.9 million people travel daily by this means of transportation.
But... are the accidents that occurred in the subway the result of a lack of social responsibility? Here we present some of the events recorded in recent years and in the first month of this year 2023, to know the circumstances that workers and users of this means of transportation face daily.

One of the incidents in the CDMX metro that will remain in history as a reminder of the fatal consequences of not putting Social Responsibility ( SR ) into practice is the collapse of Line 12 that occurred on May 3, 2021. Post which left in its wake at least 26 people dead, 80 injured and 5 people reported missing.
Therefore, the 8 officials directly involved in the approval of the project and in the construction of the section that collapsed were linked to the process. This since they are charged with the crimes of homicide and negligent injuries, as well as damage to property. However, the companies in charge of construction, whose responsibility was to act to guarantee the safety of users, were not blamed.
Despite all this, the capital government and the construction company were in charge of making reparation agreements for the victims and their families. This, granting sums from 400 thousand pesos to 6 million, according to some sources , since the company in charge has not recognized responsibility for the collapse.
On Saturday, January 7, 2023 , an 18-year-old girl died and 106 people were injured due to the train crash that occurred on Metro Line 3. Although 93 of them have already been discharged, 13 remained hospitalized a week after the event. Given this, the capital government was responsible for the costs of transportation, food and lodging for the victims and their families.
On the other hand, 20 of the people affected by the incident filed a collective complaint against the STC Metro authorities "for not having guaranteed the safety of users and for not having fulfilled their duty to monitor certain sources of danger." Since, in addition, the metro workers had demanded throughout 2022 the necessary tools to carry out their work and avoid risks. This negligence caused one of the worst incidents in the CDMX metro on record.
